Description


The Quality Inspector is responsible for completing inspections for various stages of production: process start up, in process, end of run, and final inspection requirements. Communicating nonconforming or out of control status is a key function. Also, supporting production operations will be required as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Inspect materials, components, and products to ensure they meet quality specifications both visually and dimensionally in accordance with specifications or other Quality System requirements.
• Produce accurate records of completed inspections, both written and electronically.
• Assist production personnel running presses by operating those presses as needed for breaks and other temporary activities.
• Ensure nonconforming or out-of-control inspections are communicated to production personnel in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to do basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide and decimals).
• Good manual dexterity and visual ability with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write in English, comprehend and follow work instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to use a computer.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching.
