Revenue Cycle Supervisor

Overview US Oncology Network is looking for a Revenue Cycle Supervisor to join the Texas Oncology team at the 500 W. 3rd Street clinic in Odessa, Texas. This full‑time position supports the Revenue Cycle Department and operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM. What does the position do? Supervises day‑to‑day revenue cycle operations to maximize collection of medical services payments and reimbursements from patients, insurance carriers, financial aid and guarantors. Supports and adheres to US Oncology compliance program and shared values. Responsibilities Supervise the daily business functions of the patient visit from point of entry to accurate adjudication of the patients' accounts, including appointment scheduling, insurance eligibility, charge processing, claim submission and processing, payment processing, collections, accounts receivable management, denial management, reporting, auditing, coding, credentialing, and customer service. Ensure quality work, meet deadlines, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); regularly audit staff work for compliance. Prepare monthly revenue cycle financial analysis, including aged accounts, and monitor business metrics to refine processes and improve team performance. Champion new initiatives, act as catalyst for change, and handle difficult issues with ownership and accountability. Develop, implement, and maintain revenue cycle training materials; conduct training on SOPs, systems, metrics, and regulations. Coordinate front‑office duties including scheduling, check‑in, and co‑pay/co‑insurance collection. Attract, assess, coach, and develop employees; conduct interviews, recommend hires and salary changes, and enforce policy adherence. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Finance, Business or equivalent, or four years of revenue cycle experience. At least four years of medical revenue cycle experience with a track record of achieving metrics. Strong knowledge of medical insurance billing, collections, CPT, ICD9, HCPC coding, medical terminology, and managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience managing, delegating, and following up on work priorities of others (strongly desired). Work Environment The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
