Houston Physicians Hospital is currently seeking to hire a Full-Time Billing and Collections Specialist!Billing and Collections Specialist at Houston Physicians HospitalResponsible for proper communication with patients, staff, and management regarding account status. Generates patient account statements, maintains accounts receivable files, and follow up on collection of receivables. Responsible for ensuring claims are billed timely with accurate coding. Communicates with appropriate staff to ensure all charges are being captured through proper documentation. Reviews financial obligation with patient and family member.Qualifications:High School graduate requiredFour years of medical facility or medical business office experience preferredExperience in customer relations or teaching preferredExperience in third party payer requirements preferredAutomated billing systems experience requiredTraining/experience in business office activities preferredRequires frequent and constant judgment for timely response to patient and staff questions and concerns.Requires language skills adequate for effective written and interpersonal communication in American English.Require visual and auditory acuity adequate for frequent use of computers and occasional use of other business office equipment.What We Offer:As a valued member of USPI, your health and well-being are important to us.
