Tax Associate

Responsibilities Review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Identify errors, inconsistencies, and potential tax savings opportunities, providing detailed feedback to preparers. Ensure all required documentation is complete and properly supported prior to filing. Review and assist with responses to IRS notices and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Collaborate with tax preparers and team members to improve overall quality and efficiency of tax engagements. Maintain strong client relationships by communicating complex tax information clearly and professionally when needed. Provide guidance on tax software and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in tax preparation and/or tax review. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Experience reviewing individual and business tax returns preferred. Familiarity with tax preparation software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
