Cath Lab Technologist

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support various cardiac procedures while ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the C-arm during procedures
• Assist medical professionals during cardiac and interventional radiology cases
• Prepare patients for procedures in accordance with best practices
• Participate actively in a team-oriented environment

Unit Information

• Number of Cath Lab rooms: 3
• Hybrid OR: 1
• Average number of cases per day: 13-26
• Common patient diagnoses: STEMI, NSTEMI, CAD, PAD, PVD, CHF, Heart blocks, Cancer
• Types of cases handled: Cardiac, peripheral vascular, interventional radiology, pacemaker insertions

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with cardiac cases; interventional radiology experience is preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT, AZRT, BLS Certification

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Merge and Cerner
• Experience with Philips X-ray machinery

Work Schedule

• Shifts: 4 x 10 hours
• Call requirement: 1 night call shift per week; 1 weekend call per 4-week period
• Holiday call distributed equally among all staff

Orientation and Training

New hires will undergo a comprehensive onboarding process, including 1-2 days of general orientation followed by 2 days of unit-specific training.

This position is based in a dynamic acute care setting located in the city of your convenience.
