Recreation Assistant (Senior Living)

Bridgewater: A Legacy Retirement Community is hiring a part-time Activities Assistant to support vibrant weekend programming for our senior living community. This role offers a consistent weekend schedule, working Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, making it a great fit for someone looking for reliable hours while making a positive impact. As part of the Life Enrichment team, you'll help bring energy and purpose to resident life through a variety of recreational activities, social events, and individualized engagement. Schedule and Pay This is a part-time position offering consistent weekend hours. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation is $20 per hour, based on experience, and includes opportunities for training and growth. Key Responsibilities You will assist in planning, organizing, and leading a variety of life enrichment programs designed to enhance resident well-being. This includes group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, exercise sessions, and social gatherings. You will also provide one‑on‑one engagement tailored to each resident's interests and abilities while encouraging participation and building positive relationships. This role supports weekend events, special celebrations, and community programs. You will also help prepare activity spaces, manage supplies, and ensure everything is organized before and after events. Collaboration with the Life Enrichment team is essential to ensure residents have a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Is warm, compassionate, and naturally engaging. Has a strong interest in working with seniors and creating meaningful moments. Has solid communication and interpersonal skills. Is at least 21 years old and has a valid driver's license with a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle when needed. Reliability is key, as this position requires working every Saturday and Sunday. Candidates should be flexible, creative, and bring a positive attitude to the team. Previous experience in senior living, recreation, activities, or caregiving is helpful but not required.
