- # NERC Compliance Specialist - FAC-008 Corrective Action Program LeadApplylocations: New Albany, OHtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: August 14, 2026 (13 days left to apply)job requisition id: R17449**Job Posting End Date**08-14-2026Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date.**Job Summary**Ensure compliance for Transmission Operations regarding the NERC reliability standards as applied by all Regional Reliability Organizations (RROs); collaborating with Transmission, Generation, Commercial Operations, and Corporate in compliance matters; interfacing with these business units in the standards development/review process. Develop standards, ensuring appropriate systems are in place to track and monitor compliance, perform daily tasks to monitor compliance, and perform quarterly/yearly reviews to demonstrate compliance. General direction may be provided in terms of broad goals and objectives but is responsible for establishing methods to attain them. Work with lower-level employees to provide guidance for daily tasks.**Job Description****What You'll Do:*** The FAC-008 Corrective Action Program Lead oversees the development, implementation, tracking, and effectiveness review of corrective actions resulting from FAC-008 errors, root cause analyses, and verification activities. The lead ensures actions address identified causes, prevent recurrence, are completed on time, and drive continuous improvement across the FAC-008 program* Develop and manage corrective action plans resulting from FAC-008 errors, verification activities, audits, and root cause analyses, ensuring actions address underlying causes and prevent recurrence.* Maintain the corrective action tracking system, including action ownership, due dates, status updates, supporting documentation, and closure evidence.* Monitor the progress of corrective actions and work with action owners and stakeholders to resolve barriers, address overdue items, and ensure timely completion.* Perform and coordinate effectiveness reviews to verify that corrective actions have been properly implemented and are achieving the intended results.* Provide program oversight and reporting by analyzing corrective action trends, identifying recurring issues, and communicating program status, risks, and improvement opportunities to management and FAC-008 stakeholders.**What We're Looking For:****NERC Compliance Specialist SG7***Education:** Associates degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or related field,* Or High School Diploma / GED and two (2) years of experience in compliance and/or Information Technology.*Experience:** Minimum of three (3) years of experience in addition to any experience noted above**NERC Compliance Specialist Senior SG8***Education:** Associate's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or related field,* Or High School Diploma / GED and two (2) years of experience in compliance and/or Information Technology.*Experience:** Minimum of six (6) years of experience in addition to any experience noted above.*In addition:** Occasional travel 5-10% and occasional overtime* Physical demand level is typically sedentary with a possibility for occasional field visits.* Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance policy.* Strong skills in communication, issue resolution, organization, and facilitation are essential.* Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring corrective actions preferred* Solid understanding of electrical power systems and NERC compliance preferred but not required.**Where you’ll work:**This role sits on site in New Albany, Ohio**What you’ll get:**NERC Compliance Specialist SG7($87,633-$109,544)NERC Compliance Specialist Senior SG8($98,993-$128,689)**In addition to competitive compensation, AEP offers a unique comprehensive benefits package that aims to support and enhance the overall well-being of our employees.****Where Putting the Customer First Powers Everything We Do At AEP, we’re more than just an energy company — we’re a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative energy solutions.
