About this Position In-person training is required for this position. Following the training period, the majority of responsibilities will be performed in a work-from-home setting, with remote support provided from home. Please note that occasional on-site attendance may be required for retraining or other business-related needs.About the unitThe Neurodiagnostic team is comprised of EEG Technologists, EEG Technicians and Neurodiagnostic Assistants. These individuals work together to set up patients with appropriate equipment, allowing for monitoring and recording of electrical activity of a patient’s brain waves. This in turn allows us to provide physicians proof of any brain abnormalities. The team provides support for Butterworth, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Blodgett, 25 Michigan and 35 Michigan. Scope of Work Performs electroneurodiagnostic and physiologic procedures, analysis of data from these procedures, and technical documentation for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Reviews, evaluates, maps, and classifies impressions of ictal, interictal, and paroxysmal events from EEG, physiologic, and video data. Writes technical report with detailed description of patient history, EEG patterns, seizure semiology, radiologic findings, physiologic findings, mapping of ictal and interictal abnormalities and selection of representative EEG and physiologic samples.
