Shift: 5:45p-6a, 2 out of 3 weekends, block scheduling available, 3 shift call off with no charge based on availability. Start Date: 07/13/2026. End Date: 10/05/2026. Duration: 12 Week(s).

MUST HAVE LABOR AND DELIVERY EXPERIENCE! The Registered Nurse manages, organizes and administers nursing care for patients of all ages under the supervision of the Physician. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assess data regarding the patient's physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs based upon the patient's age and development, for patients of all ages.
• Reports and documents all observed symptoms, reactions, and changes in the patient's condition.
• Utilizes the nursing process to direct and deliver patient care. Develops, implements, revises and evaluates a formal plan of care.
• Administers medications using the "Five Rights of Medication Administration".
• Provides and instructs patients and/or their families with educational information appropriate for age and learning abilities.
• Creates and maintains a comfortable and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Organizes and prioritizes daily assignments to provide optimal patient care.
• Demonstrates competency annually in assigned areas of work.
• Maintains patient and employee confidentiality at all times.
• Complies with PMHC Code of Conduct.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelors degree (B.S.N.), Associates degree (A.D.N.) or Diploma from an accredited college of nursing.

COMPETENCIES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NRP certification (for RNs assigned to the Obstetrics Department)
