Harvest Elevator Worker

Pay: $20.00/hour

Requirement: N95 Fit Test Required

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Elevator Workers for a valued client. In this role, you will assist with the receiving, processing, and shipping of dry edible beans. During harvest, you will unload trucks and collect product samples. Throughout the year, you will help load finished product into railcars, bulk trucks, 2,000 lb totes, and 50–110 lb bags while ensuring quality standards are met. Daily housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe work environment are also essential responsibilities.

• Safely receive, process, and ship dry edible bean products.
• Unload trucks during harvest and collect required product samples.
• Load finished product into railcars, bulk trucks, totes, and bags.
• Follow all plant safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, and any additional required safety gear.
• Communicate effectively with team members to maintain efficient production operations.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily goals.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Report to work fit for duty and maintain professional personal hygiene.
• Recognize workplace hazards and take appropriate safety precautions.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, accidents, injuries, or near misses to a supervisor.
• Participate in required safety and job-specific training.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized facility.

• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Work from elevated platforms, stairs, ladders, and ramps.
• Exposure to hot and cold temperature extremes.
• Frequent work in confined spaces such as boot pits and tunnels.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
• Potential for slippery or wet working conditions.

• Frequently lift and move up to 10 lbs overhead.
• Occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
• Stand for 3–4 hours during an 8-hour shift and up to 8–10 hours during extended 13-hour shifts.
• Frequently walk throughout the facility as production requires.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and work at various heights.
• Climb stairs, ladders, and ramps as needed.
