Corporate Attorney

AAA Club Alliance is hiring for a Corporate Attorney to join our team! This position will make informed business decisions in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and professional and business ethics. Our package includes:Competitive annual salary; the starting base compensation for this position is: $100,384-$149,158*Annual Bonus EligibilityHybrid schedule (3 days on-site weekly)Comprehensive health benefits packageGenerous accrued paid time off + 8 paid holidays401(K) plan with company match up to 7%Professional development opportunities and tuition reimbursementPaid time off to volunteer & company-sponsored volunteer events throughout the yearOther benefits include a complimentary AAA Membership, Health & Wellness Program, Health Concierge Service, Life Insurance and Short Term/Long Term Disability* The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.Primary Responsibilities:Provides advice and counsel across multiple areas of business law related to an organization’s legal rights and obligations.Provides legal advice/counsel in business-related areas of expertise (e.g., privacy law, corporate law, real estate, tax, business litigation, transactions/anti-trust, compliance, intellectual property, insurance law, employment/labor, corporate governance, ethics, etc.).Understanding of privacy and data protection laws and related frameworks.Advise on privacy and data protection matters, including developing templates and supporting the implementation of privacy policies and procedures to safeguard the organization's data and customer information.Participate in cybersecurity and privacy projects as they arise.Assist with data privacy and cybersecurity issues related to third party transactions and arrangements.Lead tracking of privacy and data security laws and support organization’s implementing necessary changes required under law.Researches, analyzes, and interprets proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations.Researches, analyzes, identifies, evaluates, and addresses issues of legal risk.Structures, drafts, negotiates and/or approves legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters.May represent/advocate for the organization in litigation, arbitration, mediation or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or other legal authorities.Liaise with external legal counsel on specialized legal issues and litigations.Researches and analyzes laws and regulations for clients.Gathers evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions.Develop company policy and position on legal issues.Advise business leaders and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Juris Doctor Degree5+ years of active practice of the law on legal matters as an in-house corporate attorney or applicable private practice.Current admission to a state bar.Current continuing legal education accreditation.Experience with privacy and data protection law, particularly U.S. privacy requirements.Familiarity with technology, cybersecurity, digital marketing, artificial intelligence, or data governance issues is a plus.Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the law as it pertains to privacy and data protection matters.Ability to exercise discretion and employ independent judgment with respect to the counseling of clients on legal matters.Ability to represent the Organization effectively in matters involving communications of any kind with parties outside the Organization.Ability to maintain and continue to develop legal expertise and business knowledge in all matters upon which advice and counsel is offered.Analytical ability and strong attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).Excellent organizational skills.Full time Associates are offered a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical, Dental, and Vision plan optionsUp to 2 weeks Paid parental leave 401k plan with company match up to 7%2+ weeks of PTO within your first yearPaid company holidaysCompany provided volunteer opportunities + 1 volunteer day per yearFree AAA MembershipContinual learning reimbursement up to $5,250 per yearAnd MORE!
