Supply Chain Logistics ManagerAlign supply chain logistics solutions with the company's financial, order fulfillment, customer requirement, and sales strategies. Develop and maintain transportation management systems, processes, procedures, and networks to ensure the lowest possible cost while maintaining a high level of customer service and KPI adherence.Essential FunctionsManage the coordination and execution of all transportation activities across the organizationReview transportation contracts and rate sheets; perform rate analysis/benchmarking for carrier RFQs as neededManage the deployment, implementation, integration, and maintenance of our Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to promote supply chain optimizationServe as a liaison with transportation partners, promoting healthy and effective supplier relationshipsCollect, analyze, and interpret data to drive viable solutions that generate cost savings and service levelPromote supply chain network optimization, focusing on low cost, high service distribution methodsLead team that coordinates transportation providers and supply chain planning, sales, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure all internal and external customer needs are metManage the processes and procedures for daily load tracking, daily/weekly reporting, and regular troubleshootingDevelop and maintain carrier and team performance metrics including standardized carrier and planner scorecardsEnsure all company and customer KPIs are met or exceeded; report on progress and develop action plans for improvementLead carrier business reviews to address performance issues; develop action plans for improvement and provide follow-upEnhance current processes and procedures, creating and maintaining SOPs with a strong focus on best practice and continuous improvementEnsure adequate carrier capacity at all plants to meet customer orders and protect against market volatilityAddress all reported claims related to damaged goods by carriers and ensure company interests are represented when resolving claimsEnsure carriers comply with all DOT carrier regulationsServe as backup for Director of Transportation and transportation analysts, planners, and coordinatorsSupport food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured productsPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business or relevant field preferred5 years of supply chain logistics and transportation experience5 years of proven work experience as a team manager or supervisor3-5 years of experience managing Transportation Management Systems (TMS)Highly analytical; superior data mining skills with proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong leadership and team-building skills with an intense desire to drive positive change and deliver resultsAbility to think critically and solve problems, as well as seek proactive solutionsAbility to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively within an organization and collaborate with internal and external partners to determine requirements and eliminate barriers that may affect the delivery of productBenefitsWe are committed to providing Brill, Inc. a sustainable future, and that includes promoting the physical, mental, and financial well-being of our employees.
