Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:

 

1. Develop Plans and Calculations
   1. Develop plans and make calculations for a variety of elements within PERs.
   2. Under supervision, draw blueprints or technical diagrams and submit them to associates for correction and/or approval.
   3. Receive assignments on specific engineering requests and make necessary calculations and estimates.
2. Manage Daily Work
   1. Assist in providing direct day-to-day support and oversight of product elements. For example, taking measurements, reviewing design documentation, or answering questions on current product with assistance.
   2. Develop schedules or deliverable timelines.
   3. Work closely with relevant stakeholders on specific PER elements, ensuring that all personnel understand and receive the desired outcome.
   4. Provide relevant reporting to the Engineering Manager to keep them informed on the status of their work and PERs.
3. Provide Engineering Support
   1. Provide direct or indirect support to engineering teams and/or other engineers. This duty can be relatively wide-ranging, encompassing tasks like gathering data, submitting documentation, and ensuring that change orders are logged and submitted to appropriate personnel.
4. Coordination and Teamwork
   1. Work on teams that include other company departments, technicians, and other engineers.
   2. Serve as a liaison between other departments, such as interacting and coordinating with manufacturing personnel.
5. Other duties may be assigned .

Education and Experience – Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year College or university in engineering/mechanical preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mechanical Design Engineering background preferred

Experience in SolidWorks 

 

Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

 

Mathematical Skills - Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematical and engineering concepts. Ability to understand and apply calculations specific to industry standards.

 

Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook); Proficient in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
