The Opportunity We are seeking a Software Engineer I with a foundation in modern PHP or TypeScript and an insatiable appetite for learning. In this role, you won’t just be writing code; you’ll be mentored by Senior Engineers to master the craft of building scalable SaaS solutions. What You’ll Do Build & Learn: Contribute to Laravel monolith applications and microservices, moving from small bug fixes to shipping meaningful API features. AI-Driven Development: Proactively adopt AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to enhance code quality, generate unit tests, and explore complex logic. Collaborate: Partner closely with Senior Engineers to understand system design, participating in code reviews as a way to both learn and provide a fresh perspective. Modernize: Help us upgrade and scale existing projects, ensuring our tech stack remains cutting‑edge. Document: Write clean, documented code that reflects a growing understanding of industry standards. The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring The Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Languages: Proficiency in PHP (internship or 1+ year experience) or TypeScript The “Growth” Mindset: A deep sense of curiosity and a proven desire to learn new technologies quickly. Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks. Modern Workflow: An interest in (or experience with) using AI tooling to streamline development and automate the “boring” parts of coding. Team First: Excellent communication skills and a desire to grow within a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Bonus Skills Experience with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and a desire to learn query optimization. Exposure to Docker or containerized environments. Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
