We do have 4 cats and a service animal dog for our oldest son Hayden, who has nursing (you will not be responsible for him). You would be assisting parents, not by yourself for the majority of the time. The occasional date night with us going out would be nice. You would also assist with us taking the kids out for dinner or making theirs with us if we are cooking at home.
