Your responsibilities Attend surgeries in which Medartis products are used, ensuring all products are available for surgeon use in each case and provide instruction to surgeons regarding product use and functionality. Educate and inform doctors, nurses, and other staff about the proper use and maintenance of Medartis products, product functionality, updates, changes to the product portfolio, and educational programs. Participate in a rigorous training program, which may be five to seven days outside the assigned territory in a classroom environment or by observing workflow and case coverage. Following extensive product training, tailor Medartis’ promotional message based on knowledge of the customer, advise on appropriate product selection, answer customer questions about product functionality and distinguish Medartis products from competitors. Remain in compliance with all required certifications and tests (e.g., RepTracks, OSHA, HIPAA, other regulatory requirements) while performing sales duties in hospitals, ASCs, and outpatient settings. Assist in the implementation of sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position Medartis competitively. Partner with ASM on inventory management, building proper inventory levels and sets to meet customer needs. Provide coordination and logistical support for ordering, transporting, setting up, and reassembling surgical instrument sets in sterile processing departments at hospitals and ASCs. Assist and partner with ASM in acquiring and processing customer purchase orders for proper invoicing. Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings, sometimes outside of regular business hours. Perform field calls for accounts and assigned territories, including on‑call and operating room consultation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field required; preferred with additional educational background. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling medical device products, including marketing strategy, product demonstration, and sales techniques. Minimum basic understanding of the medical device industry, including regulatory compliance issues. Demonstrated adherence to compliance, privacy, confidentiality, ethics, and integrity in all activities. Ability to travel extensively within the territory, including weekend and limited overnight travel; majority of time in surgeons’ offices and hospital settings with OR coverage.
