Job Summary:
Infection Control Specialist Location: unspecified. This position involves working independently within an acute care hospital environment, focusing on infection prevention and control efforts. The role supports consistent compliance with infection prevention standards over a contract period extending until May 2027.

Job Details:

• Position Description: Infection Preventionist role supporting hospital infection prevention and control initiatives, with a contract duration until May 2027, offering flexibility with RTO past 13 weeks.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must hold CIC (Certified in Infection Control) certification; minimum of 1 year of related experience required.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, starting from 11/03/2026 through 05/25/2027.
• Additional Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system highly preferred; acute care experience required; infection prevention experience essential; may consider House Supervisor applicants with infection prevention background.
• Special Requirements: Open to candidates with a background in Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health fields; RTO must be included at submission.
• Responsibilities: Working independently to support infection prevention and control measures, including monitoring compliance with CDC guidelines, healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), isolation practices, surveillance and disease reporting, and staff education.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must provide their prior work at Providence facilities, references covering at least one year within the last three years, and confirm no direct contact with facility staff unless for interviews.
• Other Details: No weekends or holidays scheduled; guaranteed hours; free parking; facility is Magnet designated with 426 beds.
