Logistics Clerk

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Clerk to support daily warehouse and transportation operations. This position will handle data entry, shipment documentation, scheduling, communication, and other administrative duties to help keep logistics operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, and transportation documentation.
• Enter and update shipment information accurately in computer systems.
• Track incoming and outgoing shipments and provide status updates.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse personnel, customers, and transportation providers.
• Assist with scheduling pickups, deliveries, and dock appointments.
• Verify shipping documents, bills of lading, and other transportation paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and delivery information.
• Assist with resolving shipment discrepancies, delays, and other logistics issues.
• Answer phones, emails, and general logistics-related inquiries.
• Communicate schedule changes and operational updates to the appropriate departments.
• Assist with daily reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative tasks.
• Follow company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or administrative support preferred.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Transportation Management System (TMS) is a plus.
