Practice Setting and Clinical Scope This position is based in an inpatient setting within a highly regarded medical center, known for its comprehensive trauma services and state-of-the-art facilities. As a Gastroenterologist, you will not be responsible for admissions but will provide essential consultative services, focusing on complex GI cases. Schedule and Assignment Details The position offers a 24-hour call schedule from 7 am to 7 am, with a preference for seven-day stints to provide consistent coverage. While the start date and duration are flexible, there is an immediate need for coverage, ensuring you can make an immediate impact. The facility is committed to offering a supportive and well-structured environment for locum physicians. Support and Work Environment While on assignment, you will be supported by 24/7 intensivists and hospitalists, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment. Although there is no additional support staff dedicated to your role, the facility's infrastructure is designed to facilitate seamless patient care and integrated service delivery. The use of the EPIC EMR system ensures streamlined documentation and coordination of care. Qualifications Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required. Active DEA license is mandatory for credentialing. Proficiency in ERCP and EUS procedures is essential. Colorado medical license is highly preferred, but candidates with a clean malpractice/background report will be prioritized. A Gastroenterology Fellowship is required to ensure the highest standard of care.
