Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist with ARRT CT certification and at least 1 year of CT experience for a Level 3 trauma hospital setting.

Details

• Work in the Radiology CT department on the main campus, which includes 2 rooms with Philips CT scanners
• 300-bed Level 3 trauma facility
• Patient population includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies across all ages (0-100)
• Unit performs approximately 40 CT scans per 24-hour period
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 nights on, 1 day off, 3 nights on, then 6 days off
• 36 hours per week with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required at minimum every other weekend, with schedule adjustments as needed
• Call and holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating and charge responsibilities are not required
• Respiratory and anesthesia support available 24/7
• Uses EPIC for documentation and PyxIS for medication management

Requirements

• ARRT CT certification required
• NY state license or proof of pending application required for consideration; license required if applicable
• NYS DOH venipuncture certification required, as tech will perform injections
• NY injection certification preferred, with facility support to obtain during orientation if needed
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT specialty required
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required
• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, c-spine, and PE studies
• Perform venipuncture and injections as part of unit-specific procedures
• 14 days of orientation provided, with bi-weekly start dates
• Dress code includes gray scrubs, closed-toe shoes (no flip flops), and properly secured hair/facial hair to permit respirator fit
• Jewelry must not interfere with work duties
• Scheduling is not self-scheduling; no block schedules permitted
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area, so a personal vehicle or rental is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius-based pay tiers apply, measured by direct line distance: Local (50 miles or less), Radius (51-100 miles), and Travel (101+ miles)
