We specialize in complex medium and high‑voltage electrical infrastructure across North America. Company Overview We are seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high‑voltage electrical systems (typically 600 V to 500 kV) in utility, substation, power plant, and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test high‑voltage cables, conductors, breakers, and transformers. Read and interpret electrical schematics, one‑lines, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. Perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and protection/control systems. Execute grounding and bonding practices for high‑voltage installations. Work around live equipment while adhering to lockout/tagout and arc‑flash safety protocols. Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and engineers to ensure work is completed to spec and on schedule. Complete documentation for quality control and safety compliance. Train and mentor apprentices as needed. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license. Minimum 4+ years of high‑voltage experience (600 V to 500 kV). Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA 1910/1926 standards. Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specs. Comfortable working at heights and in varying field conditions. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required). Ability to pass drug screening and background check. Preferred Qualifications Experience in substation or power generation environments. Familiarity with protective relay systems and SCADA integration. Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR. NCCER Electrical or related craft certifications.
