Clinical Pharmacist

Under the direction of the Director of Operations and in collaboration with the department's Physician Director, the Clinical Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic and provides leadership to the clinical staff. This role supports the implementation of departmental strategies, operational initiatives, and hospital-wide programs while ensuring efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience. Essential Functions Lead, hire, train, schedule, and support clinical and supervisory staff across clinic locations, partnering closely with department leadership. Evaluate staff performance and competencies while promoting ongoing professional development. Support the implementation of new workflows, policies, and processes to meet operational and regulatory requirements. Identify and implement workflow improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and patient care. Assist with developing, monitoring, and managing departmental operating and capital budgets while supporting responsible financial stewardship. Allocate and redeploy staff as needed to meet patient care demands and maintain efficient clinic operations. Ensure resources are used effectively to provide an excellent patient experience, including appropriate accommodations for patients with diverse needs. Respond to patient questions, concerns, and feedback in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner. Monitor quality, service, patient satisfaction, and operational performance metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives that support operational excellence and organizational goals. Education Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree. Licenses and Certifications Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification required. Experience 5-7 years of management experience in an ophthalmology setting required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with patients, clinical staff, physicians, researchers, and regulatory partners. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of medical terminology.
