Automobile Claims Specialist

Our growing team is looking for professionals specialized in automobile claims. Reporting to the director, automobile claims, you will be responsible for managing and resolving automobile claims through telephone contacts and in compliance with best practices. According to levels of authority, quality standards, and current provincial legislative requirements. Any other tasks assigned by your manager.

The role designation is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

• Study and research the value of vehicles by various methods;
• Review and analyze documents from internal and external sources related to the vehicle valuation process;
• Meet and maintain departmental standards and/or KPIs;
• Provide superior customer service experience to policyholders and a quick and fair settlement of claims;
• Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid AMF license as an expert in claims;
• 3 years of experience in auto insurance and/or 2 years of experience in total loss is considered an asset;
• Comfortable with insurance policy wording;
• Demonstrate experience in insurance and understanding of the discipline;
• Good understanding of the compensation convention and principles of settlement expertise;
• Excellent ability to provide outstanding customer service;
• Demonstrates good team spirit, negotiation skills, and decision-making ability;
• Bilingualism required, French and English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of computer MS Office suite;
• Understanding of automotive terminology, automotive market, and automotive estimates;
• Excellent organizational and negotiation skills;
• Total loss experience is considered an asset;
• Proficiency in French and English as this role is bilingual.
