Registered Nurse 24 hours Night Shift

Overview Neville Center at Fresh Pond has a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse with Long Term Care Experience for the 11 to 7 Shift Responsibilities Assess the health care needs of residents, make a nursing diagnosis, and collaborate with the nursing team to translate this into an interdisciplinary plan of care using all available resources. Communicate the care plan to all care providers to ensure continuity of care for residents. Apply a broad scope of knowledge to address the needs of medically complex and mentally compromised residents. Establish and maintain functional communication with staff, other disciplines, residents, families, medical staff, and the community. Administer medications and treatments according to standards of practice. Document care and treatment information accurately and promptly, and maintain center records in accordance with center, state, and federal requirements. Complete documentation that supports the MDS and MMQ processes to ensure center compliance. Assess the effects of medications and treatments, monitor these effects, and provide feedback to the interdisciplinary team and medical managers to ensure care is appropriate to each resident’s needs. Lead and direct the nursing staff in the safe, effective delivery of care; provide education to residents regarding their healthcare issues and care plan strategies. Apply knowledge of resident rights and treat residents, staff, and the community with respect, honesty, confidentiality, and care for facility property and information. Stay up to date on required educational components and pursue skill growth, including state CEU requirements. Qualifications Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Proficiency in basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail.
