CNC Maintenance Technician Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team and provide hands-on service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machine tools. The ideal candidate will have several years of CNC maintenance experience, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, operators, and internal team members.

This is a hands-on position supporting CNC equipment, primarily Okuma and Haas machines , with occasional overnight travel required. Travel is expected to be limited to a few days per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machine tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system issues.
• Service, repair, and maintain CNC equipment to minimize machine downtime.
• Troubleshoot CNC machine alarms, control issues, servo systems, drives, motors, sensors, and related components.
• Work with Okuma, Haas , and other CNC machine controls and equipment.
• Respond to service calls and provide timely, professional technical support.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend appropriate repairs or corrective actions.
• Perform machine inspections, adjustments, calibrations, and component replacements as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members regarding equipment issues, repair status, and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Travel to customer locations for service and repair assignments, including occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of hands-on CNC maintenance experience required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience servicing and repairing CNC machine tools.
• Experience with Okuma and/or Haas equipment strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.
• Professional, customer-focused attitude.
• Comfortable with occasional overnight travel, typically a few days per month.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
