Small Format Team MemberThe starting hourly rate is $17.75 USD per hour. Experts of service, operations, process and efficiency, this team is responsible for being proficient in all areas of the store to complete duties such as, but not limited to, cashiering, stocking, presentation and price accuracy. The role of a Small Format Team Member can provide you with the skills and experience of:Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture across the storeRetail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, pricing and promotion strategies, inventory management, and process efficiency & improvementSupporting daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goalsAs a Small Format Team Member, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interactionHelp guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experienceEnd every guest transaction with a sincere thank youActively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitudeAdjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experienceHelp guests as you complete workload with minimal guest disruptionWork in all departments to ensure sales floor is full, zoned and in stock for guestsAssist with truck unload process and stock product to the sales floorMake changes to salesfloor merchandise displays for all departmentsConduct weekly price change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for all departmentsComplete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracySupport execution of major transitionsMaintain interior and exterior brand, including emptying garbage cans and attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, recycling and attending to spills throughout the store as neededAccurately execute all fills (i.e., fill the floor, liability fills, and guest requests) and organize and store reserve product from all departmentsProcess all inbound deliveries (using the receive application) to ensure inventory accuracyComplete all backroom daily and weekly auditsIf certified, operate powered equipment to move merchandise on the sales floor and in the backroomMaintain backroom organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelinesFollow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress and accurately prioritize tasksDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and complianceWork in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possibleSupport guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage lawsAll other duties based on business needsThis may be the right job for you if:You enjoy interacting and helping others – including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with.You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success.You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Small Format Team Member.
