Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Registered Nurse – Med-Surg NeuroNights with shift options of 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.Daily census of 32 beds. Orientation lasts for 24 hours.Minimum 1 year recent RN med-surg experience required. BLS certification required; NIHSS certification required (pending). Unit accepts first-time travelers. Preferred: CPI certification. Core clinical skills required include med-surg & neuro care, IV starts/maintenance, central/PICC line care, phlebotomy/blood product administration, wound care/Wound VAC, feeding tube care, HFNC/O2 therapy, PCA, non-invasive airway management, chest tube care, ostomy care, and pre/post hemodialysis support.Provide direct patient care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Document patient care and progress using the facility's EMR system. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members. Participate in rapid response and emergency situation management.Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start). Travelers are expected to complete labs within 48 business hours after contract signing. Modules will be completed onsite during orientation.
