Design Assistant / Junior Designer

High Point Design, a division of The Moret Group, is looking to add a full-time Design Assistant to our team! This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and creative early-career designer to gain experience and grow their career within the fashion industry. This is a hybrid position based in our New York, NY office. You Will: Assist designers with development packs, line sheets, and other artwork needs Manage submissions and approvals of CADs and samples for licensed product Handle revisions based on internal, licensor, or buyer feedback Uphold consistency across brands and product lines Communicate clearly with internal teams, licensors, and overseas factories Effectively manage time and prioritize multiple projects according to deadlines Order & distribute seasonal color standards, assembling swatch palettes Manage daily package handling & distribution Organize product boards, digital files, design department spaces and sample library Support the design director and design team members with tasks as needed Gain valuable knowledge about designing for socks, slippers, and packaging You Have: Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or related field; recent graduates encouraged to apply Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills and consider yourself detail-oriented Capability to work independently and think proactively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google equivalents Strong sense of color, material, layout, typography, and aesthetic Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator Preferred: Deeper proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop Interest in fashion, trend cycles, textiles, knits, hosiery, etc. Prior work, internship, or freelance work experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Austin Community College
