U.S. Army Perioperative Nurses ensure the proper care and safety of our nation’s heroes throughout the surgical journey. As a Perioperative Nurse for the U.S. Army, you will care for surgical patients throughout the entire operative procedure; before, during and after. You will be responsible for planning and organizing all nursing services before surgery, supervising the experience for the patient in accordance with the surgical team. As an officer, you will provide support with critical levels of clinical, administrative, safety, educational and research knowledge and background for your patients. To ensure your success, the U.S. Army provides training and continued education programs, as well as access to seminars and conferences, to build your skills and knowledge of perioperative nursing and expose you to the latest advancements in practices and techniques.
