Schedule: 24-hour shifts (rounding + call from home/hotel)

Licensure

Florida State License - Required

Certifications (Required)

Board Certified - Neonatology
Minimum 1 year post-fellowship experience
Must be clinically active within the last year
Minimum 6 months recent specialty experience

Clinical Overview

Setting: Level III NICU
Facility: 70-bed NICU within a children's hospital
Coverage:
- In-house NICU coverage
- Level I nursery (well baby care + backup from home)
EMR: Not specified

70-bed Level III NICU
135-bed standalone children's hospital
7,000 annual deliveries across system
Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Unit designation

Team Structure

10 Neonatologists
10 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
24-hour NNP coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

Attend high-risk deliveries
Provide NICU attending coverage
Manage newborn care in Level I setting as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary subspecialty teams
