Salary: $20 to $30.27 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience).

The Math Tutor will provide additional mathematics support to intermediate and middle level students under the direction of classroom teachers and the building principal or designee. This role involves working with students individually, in small groups, or within the classroom to reinforce learning, strengthen skills, and build confidence and independence.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in education, mathematics, or a related field, appropriate educator license, permit, or credential, knowledge of mathematics concepts and skills, effective communication and organizational skills, and successful completion of district-required background checks and employment requirements.

Essential responsibilities include providing individual, small-group, and in-class mathematics support, coordinating with classroom teachers, maintaining records of students served, sharing student progress with teachers, maintaining a positive learning environment, and protecting student confidentiality.

Additional working conditions include working primarily in classrooms or designated instructional spaces, interaction with students who may need additional academic or behavioral support, regular use of computers and instructional technology, and occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
