Neurology Nurse Practitioner Or Physician AssistantA private neurology practice is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to work with physicians in the Adult Neurology department at the Raleigh location. We offer a competitive salary and a full benefits package, including 401(k), health insurance, and CME.The NP or PA will work under the supervision of one of the physicians. The provider will see up to 17 patients per day with the clinical support of a nurse and medical assistant.Primary hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm No call or weekendsJob Duties:Take patient's history, perform a physical exam, and order laboratory tests and proceduresProper documentation and coding of patient visits in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)Diagnose, treat, and manage diseasesConsult with Supervising PhysicianProvide prescriptions and coordinate referralsPromote healthy activities together with the patientWork with nursing staff to answer patient messages and provide guidance in response to phone calls from patientsRequirements:Active licensure from the NC Board of Nursing or NC Medical Board1+ years of Neurology, Sleep, or Specialty experience is preferredOther Skills/Abilities:Excellent flexibility and time managementSensitivity to patient concernsProficiency with computer systemsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceMedical Specialty: NeurologySchedule:8-hour shiftMonday to FridayNo nightsLicense/Certification:North Carolina PA or NP License (Preferred)
