Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Artesia, New Mexico. The organization is seeking experienced ER nurses to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role involves managing a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical conditions, including trauma, STEMIs, strokes, and other acute issues, in a community hospital setting.

Job Details:

• Location: Artesia, NM
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, and NIHSS certifications. No minimum experience required.
• Schedule: Shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; flexibility required to fill operational needs.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The ER handles approximately 40-50 patients daily, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3. The department features 5 beds and 2 trauma bays, with specialized staff on-site 24/7 including security, RT, and house supervision. RN responsibilities include managing respiratory equipment, troubleshooting, and interpreting tele and EKG strips. Phlebotomy is available, and RNs can draw labs as needed. The hospital is actively working toward achieving Level IV trauma designation, offering considerable clinical capabilities for a small hospital setting. Orientation consists of 1-2 days with a preceptor.
