Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus We are seeking a career-focused individual for an exciting opportunity in the Birmingham, AL area. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong experience in ductile iron or steel piping fabrication to lead an elite operation. Our client is a well-established, US-based company with a strong growth trajectory and outstanding corporate culture! The Fabrication Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the fabrication shop, ensuring that production, quality, safety, and scheduling requirements are met efficiently. This individual will manage both the technical and physical aspects of the shop while supervising a dedicated team. Strong leadership and fabrication experience are essential. Desired Skills/Abilities: A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience with Fabricated Ductile Iron Pipe (or similar), Fittings, Valves and Flanges used for industrial piping systems and/or water and wastewater infrastructure. A background in steel piping fabrication will also be considered. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems as needed. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. The ability to troubleshoot operational issues, evaluate and procure equipment, manage equipment maintenance, and make proactive improvements to processes. A commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to industry safety standards.
