Job Description
Mavilo is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Senior Diamond Consultant to join our team in South Tampa.
This is a senior-level role for an accomplished diamond professional who excels at guiding clients through significant purchases and closing high-value transactions. As our diamond specialist on the sales floor, you will handle some of our most important diamond and bridal opportunities, partner with associates when a client needs deeper expertise, and set the standard for how a world-class diamond presentation is delivered.
You will also work with the new technology Mavilo is bringing to the sales floor, including AI-enhanced tools designed to give our sales professionals more time to do what they do best.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will serve as Mavilo's go-to diamond expert, guiding clients through high-value diamond and bridal purchases and helping our team close the opportunities that matter most. Responsibilities include:
• Leading the sale of high-value diamonds, engagement rings, and bridal jewelry, from first consultation through close
• Partnering with associates on important opportunities, stepping in when a client needs deeper diamond expertise to move forward
• Delivering expert diamond presentations, confidently explaining the 4Cs, GIA grading reports, cut quality, and value
• Working with our on-site diamond buyers to source the right stone for each client's needs and budget
• Building and maintaining a loyal clientele of high-value clients through exceptional service and consistent follow-up
• Mastering Mavilo's Knowledge to Value and Learn to Win sales strategies and applying them to close high-priority transactions
• Using our CRM and inventory tools to track opportunities, stay organized, and keep client follow-up on schedule
• Sharing diamond knowledge with the team to strengthen the expertise of the entire sales floor
• Assisting management with the evaluation of diamond and gold trades
• Participating in and contributing to all scheduled sales meetings
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a high-performing, forward-thinking diamond sales professional who brings deep expertise, a commitment to excellence, and the confidence to guide clients through some of the most significant purchases of their lives.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Extensive experience selling GIA-certified loose diamonds, engagement rings, bridal jewelry, and fine jewelry
• A proven track record of closing high-value sales in a luxury or high-end retail environment
• Expert knowledge of diamonds, including the ability to confidently discuss the 4Cs, GIA grading reports, cut quality, diamond quality, and value
• GIA training or credentials (preferred)
• The ability to build trust and develop lasting relationships with discerning, high-value clients
• Strong closing and negotiation skills, and the poise to handle complex, high-stakes transactions
• A collaborative, team-first approach and a willingness to support associates on important opportunities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Exceptional follow-through and the ability to manage multiple client relationships in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment
• A polished, professional appearance and demeanor, and a commitment to the integrity and ethics Mavilo is known for
