Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45–19:15) | On-Call: Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, managing a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in accordance with facility protocols and standards of practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation — candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during facility-declared emergency events, with an expectation to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team until the event concludes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI — all certifications must be AHA-issued; CPI must be obtained prior to start if not already held
• NURSYS report required and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency department environments
• Strong critical thinking and triage assessment skills with the ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients simultaneously
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation in an acute care setting
