Senior Property Accountant

Senior Property Accountant Growing real estate investment and development firm is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join its finance team. This individual will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and portfolio accounting for a diverse real estate portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with exposure to complex ownership structures and investment accounting. Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare financial statements and reporting packages for real estate entities and investment portfolios. Analyze operating results and assist with budget-to-actual reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting. Support investment accounting, including equity method accounting and intercompany reconciliations. Assist with annual audits and year-end reporting requirements. Perform cash management functions, bank reconciliations, and monitor lender and tax reporting obligations. Support onboarding of newly acquired assets and coordinate with property management and asset management teams. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and system efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of real estate accounting experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting. CPA a plus. Experience with property accounting or real estate ERP systems such as Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or JD Edwards. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
