Analyzes various types of specimensfor various constituents, qualitatively and quantitatively, using variousavailable methodologies, accurately, precisely, and in a timely manner. Validates reported results throughactive participation in performance and reporting of external proficiencytesting programs, including the investigation and reporting of correctiveactions for flagged results. Performs skin puncture proceduresfor obtaining blood specimens, accurately and efficiently, using appropriatepersonal and protective equipment and safety equipment. Performs venipuncture procedures forobtaining blood specimens, accurately and efficiently, using appropriatepersonal protective equipment and safety devices. Demonstrates at least an averageability and willingness to recognize, troubleshoot, and repair faultyequipment/instrumentation. Possess a valid Clinical Laboratory technologist’slicense or a similar license of equal or higher level issued by the StateDepartment of Health Services and/or American Society of Clinical Pathologist(ASCP) Obtains 12 Contact Hours of state-approvedContinuing Education each calendar year, in or to maintain licensure. It is a self-contained psychiatric hospital constructed with a security perimeter. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) provides perimeter security as well as transportation of patients to outside medical services and court proceedings. The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired. The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired. The position(s) require(s) a(n) Clinical Laboratory Technologist License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.
