Air Cargo Operations Specialist

About the job Adecco is seeking an experienced Senior Air Cargo Operations Specialist for a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in air freight operations, compliance, and client service. You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless movement of air cargo shipments while maintaining operational excellence and delivering high-quality service. Key Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of air freight shipments, from booking to final delivery Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, ground handlers, and internal teams Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or disruptions Serve as a senior escalation point for customers and operational issues Ensure compliance with IATA, TSA, and international shipping regulations Prepare and review documentation, including AWBs, invoices, and packing lists Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners and clients Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement Support, mentor, and guide junior operations team members Qualifications Experience in air freight or cargo operations Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, incoterms, and documentation Experience working within a freight forwarder, logistics provider, or similar environment Proficiency in logistics systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred) Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred: IATA/FIATA certification Dangerous Goods (DGR) certification Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
