We are thrilled to invite a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at one of the largest Academic Medical Centers in Mississippi, located in the state capital. This prestigious facility, equipped with over 700 beds and recognized as a level 1 trauma center, serves as a leading academic institution and offers a comprehensive GI fellowship program. The selected physician will have the chance to engage in a fulfilling and varied career, encompassing clinical practice, educational initiatives, and research opportunities if desired. Our Gastroenterology Division specializes in numerous areas, including:

• Liver disease and transplant hepatology
• Advanced interventional endoscopy
• Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• GI motility
• Gastrointestinal oncology
• General gastrointestinal and digestive health

Position/Program Highlights:

• Become part of a collaborative team of 10 clinical faculty members and an IBD Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
• Strong focus on Advanced Endoscopy and Transplant Hepatology
• Seeking multiple General Gastroenterologists to enhance our team
• Plans to expand outpatient clinics and endoscopy services across Jackson
• New Satellite Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) set to open in Madison, MS in 2026
• On-campus Endoscopy Lab featuring five procedure rooms
• Faculty appointment with the largest program in the state
• Opportunity for candidates to step into the GI Fellowship Director role
• Strong internal referral network
• 90% clinical responsibilities, 10% educational involvement
• Robust GI Fellowship Program with nine trainees
• Systemwide use of EPIC EMR
• Attractive compensation package, including sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a productivity-based compensation structure (90% MGMA)
