Motor Equipment Operator I - Class B
The City of College Park's Department of Public Works has an immediate opening for Motor Equipment Operator I, which requires a Class B CDL driver's license with endorsements. Some duties include operating a 32- cubic yard Solid waste packer truck, snowplow dump truck, and other specialized equipment. The operator will, at times, perform and assist with refuse, recycle, and leaf collection and perform additional manual labor.
This position is considered essential in emergencies and severe weather events. Incumbents must be willing and able to work long shifts in adverse conditions. All essential personnel may be required to report for duty on short notice or remain on duty for longer than the regular shift.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience operating motorized equipment.
- Valid Class B Driver's license in state of residence with the following endorsements:
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Passenger endorsement
- A safe driving record.
The starting hourly range is $22.55 - $24.07, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Please apply by completing an application at Open until filled.
