Funeral Director/Embalmer

Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus! Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled dual-licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer to join our team in St. Joseph, MO. This role is ideal for a professional who is dedicated to providing exceptional care to families while maintaining the highest standards of funeral service and preparation. Key Responsibilities Direct and coordinate funeral, memorial, and graveside services with professionalism and empathy Meet with families to arrange services, explain options, and ensure their wishes are honored Perform embalming, restorative art, and preparation of the deceased in accordance with state regulations and industry standards Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including licensing and documentation requirements Coordinate with cemeteries, clergy, and third‑party vendors Maintain preparation room standards, equipment, and inventory Participate in on‑call rotation as required Required Qualifications Dual licensure as a Funeral Director and Embalmer (Missouri or ability to obtain Missouri licensure) Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a funeral home or mortuary setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple arrangements while providing compassionate care Valid driver’s license Full benefits package Stable, full-time opportunity with competitive compensation Supportive team environment and opportunity for long‑term growth #J-18808-Ljbffr Frey Consulting Group
