This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the incumbent performs a variety of selection services, consultative, and quality assurance functions, serving as a trusted resource and consultant to hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process.

A significant part of this position involves consulting with hiring managers to assess their recruitment and selection needs, providing guidance and recommendations, and developing effective solutions. The incumbent will also prepare and deliver presentations and provide information to hiring managers, stakeholders, and groups on selection-related topics, processes, and requirements.

The incumbent conducts hiring package reviews and audits to ensure selection activities are accurate, complete, consistent, and in accordance with applicable civil service laws, rules, regulations, and departmental policies. This includes identifying potential issues, providing recommendations for corrective action, and working collaboratively with hiring managers and stakeholders to resolve concerns and strengthen selection practices.

Additional responsibilities include job analysis, examination development and administration, name clearance, and other personnel and selection-related projects. The incumbent interprets and applies civil service laws, rules, regulations, and departmental policies to provide sound guidance, resolve complex selection issues, and ensure selection processes are conducted appropriately and effectively.
