You will play a pivotal role in unlocking the inherent potential of individuals at various stages of life, from young children discovering their first words to elderly seniors regaining their independence.
This position presents a distinct opportunity to support a broad spectrum of clients in an inspiring setting, where outpatient therapy combines seamlessly with occasional inpatient work. Whether your heart lies in guiding children's language development, addressing communication disorders stemming from neurological conditions in adults, or aiding older adults in cognitive rehabilitation, you'll experience both fulfillment and flexibility in your role.
Job Responsibilities

- Create individualized treatment plans targeting both short-term objectives and long-lasting needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
- Provide educational resources for patients and families to support their progress outside of clinical settings.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the patient journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Keep abreast of innovations in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Desired Skills
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy strategies across diverse age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to customize therapeutic approaches to respect and meet various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay reflective of experience and expertise.
- Flexible scheduling that enhances your work-life harmony and accommodates a variety of patient needs.
- Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, neuro rehabilitation for adults, or geriatric care.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
- Continuing education reimbursement along with support for professional growth.
- Inclusive, team-oriented environment committed to superior care and ongoing learning.
A Profession That Inspires Movement – In More Ways Than One
In this role, you will have the opportunity to do more than just provide therapy; you will become part of a mission within a vibrant community that focuses on empowering voices, enhancing communication, and creating genuine joy through the simplest human interactions: understanding and being understood.
Here, you'll collaborate with colleagues who regard each other as family and who value the strength of teamwork over rivalry. Every patient you encounter has a unique narrative, and you'll be entrusted with the honor of shaping how that story unfolds.
