Compensation Data: The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 per hour. Kerry Typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay -for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reqard performance annually while in the role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills qualifications, experience, and internal equity. What You'll Do:Operates spray dryer equipment, connects tanks and piping, and performs sanitation and housekeepingprocedures. Follows established procedures and run set points to achieve QC approved products withoptimal yields at lowest costs. Key responsibilities

• Performs tank and piping connections for spray dryers assuring connections for drying products on R3dryer and for holding tanks, assures connections for CIP of dryers.
• Performs CIP of spray dryers, dryer holding tanks and line circuits following selection of CIP cycle on FIXscreen following established procedure for recipe, cycles and chemicals.
• Operates spray dryers which include startup and operation of the R3 dryer, floor scales, pumps, motors,chart recorders, and instruments. Monitors and record processing data.
• Uses established process descriptions and job analysis information for control use of propane or naturalgas and powder conveying fans and lines.
• Operates computer systems including FIX operator interface, Quality system, and Excel for trackinghistorical trends, CIP system, Dryer recipe selection, Works with SAP from start to finish of the spraydryer batches.
• Washes and cleans equipment per the sanitation manual. Follows GMP program and rules.
• Operates forklift.

What You'll Need To Be Successful: EDUCATION:   EXPERIENCE:   High school diploma or GED. None required. Six months to one year experience in a food manufacturing environmentdesirable.

SKILLS 

• Must have the ability to work alone and in close cooperation with production personnel. Capableof working through complex problems alone or with others to provide logical solutions.
• The physical demands of this position include the ability to walk and stand on a regular basis. Mustfrequently climb stairs and ladders.
• The ability to reach, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull andmanipulate is required.
• Must occasionally lift product from a variety of positions to 35 pounds. Has aninfrequent need to lift up to 40 pounds.
