Registered Nurse - Med/Surg and Telemetry Night Shift

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

The role involves providing nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg and Telemetry unit. Nurses in this position will perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and carry out treatment plans in line with established protocols. The ideal candidate must be adept in various nursing skills and be prepared to manage patients with diverse medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vitals and manage care for patients with conditions such as diabetes, pneumonia, sepsis, and more.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician's orders.
• Utilize telemetry for remote monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and care related to drains and various medical devices.
• Utilize isolation precautions and adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry unit.
• Current RN license required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
