Insurance Intern

Support the Medicare Team by initiating outbound calls to prospective members with the goal of setting qualified appointments for licensed Medicare agents. This internship offers hands-on experience in lead generation client engagement and the Medicare sales process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct outbound calls to Medicare-eligible individuals to prequalify and schedule appointments with licensed agents.
• Manage and organize incoming leads from various sources including marketing campaigns referrals and outreach efforts.
• Assist licensed agents in maintaining lead databases and appointment calendars.
• Participate in mentorship with a licensed Medicare agent to gain practical insights into client interaction and compliance.
• Support additional administrative and outreach projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills especially over the phone.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and lead tracking tools.
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Willingness to learn about Medicare products ethical sales practices and compliance standards.
• Background check and fingerprinting may be required depending on system access.

Internship Details:

• Location : Fully remote
• Duration : Semester-long.
• Hours : Flexible 5 to 25 hours per week.
• Compensation : Compensation is performance-based with earnings influenced by outreach activity and successful engagement outcomes.
• Equipment Provided : Laptop soft phone and headset.

Performance Standards:

• Demonstrates a positive and cooperative attitude toward team members and prospective clients.
• Maintains accuracy in lead tracking and appointment setting.
• Professional in appearance attendance and quality of work.
• Complies with HIPAA CMS guidelines and internal compliance policies.
