Medical Assistant (Front & Back Office) – Wound Care & General Surgery

Location: Las Vegas, NV

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and highly organized Medical Assistant to join our busy General and Colorectal Surgery practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and hands-on clinical care while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is experienced in both front-office and back-office medical assisting, thrives in a multitasking environment, and has a genuine interest in wound care and surgical patient management.

Responsibilities

Front Office

• Greet and check in patients with professionalism and compassion.

• Schedule appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.

• Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations.

• Answer incoming phone calls and patient messages.

• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).

• Coordinate referrals and outside medical records.

Back Office

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.

• Document medical histories and update medications.

• Prepare patients for examinations and office procedures.

• Assist the physician with minor procedures and wound care.

• Perform dressing changes and patient education.

• Prepare instruments and maintain exam rooms.

• Administer injections and perform other duties within scope of practice.

• Maintain infection control and sterilization standards.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA or RMA), but experienced candidates will be considered.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical medical office experience preferred.

• Experience in both front-office and back-office duties strongly preferred.

• Experience in surgery, wound care, colorectal surgery, vascular surgery, or family medicine is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
