Facilities Manager & Safety Lead: Maintenance & Fleet

We are looking for a versatile Facility Manager to take full ownership of our site’s functionality, safety, and physical assets. This isn't just an office role—it’s a dynamic position that balances strategic HSE leadership with hands-on technical expertise. Whether you’re optimizing safety protocols with our specialized teams, managing our fleet, or performing a quick mechanical fix, you are the backbone of our daily productivity. Your Duties HSE Leadership: Lead our Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives, partnering with our MACH and AUT safety specialists to maintain a gold-standard workplace. Maintenance & Repairs : Perform hands-on minor repairs (drywall, paint, leaks) and utilize mechanical skills to maintain facility infrastructure. Vendor & Contractor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all third-party service calls, preventive maintenance visits, and repeating service contracts. Fleet Oversight: Manage the maintenance, servicing, and shuttling of company vehicles to ensure fleet safety and reliability. Inventory & Purchasing: Track stock levels for janitorial and facility supplies (filters, bulbs, paper products) and coordinate reorders with the Purchasing department. Administrative Support: Maintain updated internal CoYou/ProFile pages and participate in the visitor access (doorbell) rotation. HVAC & Electrical Support: Apply basic HVAC and electrical skills to perform minor facility tasks, including small plumbing repairs, lamp and fuse replacements, and troubleshooting simple system issues. Landscape & Grounds Care: Handle light landscape‑related tasks in areas not covered by contracted services, including routine checks of retention ponds, drainage zones, and perimeter fencing. First Aid & OSHA Support: Monitor and replenish first aid kits to ensure full readiness and provide on‑site support for OSHA‑related topics when the local OSHA team is not present, including maintaining required documentation, coordinating inspections, and assisting with general compliance activities. Cross‑Team Support : Provide hands‑on assistance to local administration, automation, and machining teams as needed, contributing to small tasks that keep operations running smoothly. Your Profile Technical Skills : Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in building trades is highly preferred, including routine building maintenance and practical problem‑solving abilities. Experience: 3–5+ years in facilities management or a related maintenance leadership role. Communication: Ability to coordinate effectively between internal teams, executives, and external vendors; strong communication skills are essential. Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all facility‑related tasks and documentation. Time Management: Strong organizational and scheduling skills to plan work efficiently and minimize disruptions to daily operations. Building Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with BMS systems and building code requirements, including keeping inspections and compliance activities up to date. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, or standing for extended periods. Education: High School Diploma or GED paired with 3–5+ years of hands‑on facilities management or maintenance leadership. Certifications: Professional credentials such as FMP (Facility Management Professional) or CFM (Certified Facility Manager) are a significant plus.
