Job Title: Personal Care Assistant
Location: Leesburg, VA
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care and daily living support while promoting the comfort, dignity, and independence of patients in a home or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and personal hygiene.

• Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

• Observe and report changes in patient condition, document care provided, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and family members.

• Provide compassionate companionship while following established care plans, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or in a similar patient care role preferred.

• Knowledge of personal care techniques, infection control, patient safety, communication, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Ability to assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living while demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

• Experience with electronic documentation and home health or long-term care settings preferred.
